The Hays Athletic Booster Club (HABC) is here to support ALL athletes and All athletic programs!
There are 14 boys and girls sports programs on the HHS campus. The HABC is active the entire school year!
We support the athletic programs through fundraising as well as giving of our time.
Recent financial contributions have included:
$2500 towards the replacement of the boy’s lockers for Basketball
$8000 towards the refurbishing of the weight room in Bales Gym (used by most athletes)
$2500 purchase of the HHS 10 x 20 foot canopy for Cross Country and Track & Field
$5000 towards travel and meal expenses for varsity athletes in ALL sports
$4000 in scholarships to graduating seniors last year
Hosting of the Winter and Spring Red & Blue events (meals for all athletes)
Yard signs for varsity athletes
How do we fundraise?
Food concessions at sport events (excluding football which is hosted by Lion’s Club)
Community sponsorships ( 2 new corporate sponsors – Kyle ER and Paragon Sports)
BBQ booth at Weinerdog Races
Are we only about fundraising? Absolutely, not. Most activities have a financial component, but we provide a SERVICE!
We need our athlete’s families to support the programs by volunteering their time to staff our concession stands, merchandise sales,
decorate for events, seek sponsors, be a coordinator for their student’s sport, and come to the monthly HABC meetings.
